And just like that, June is here! It's my favorite month—not just because it's my birthday month, but also because it marks the start of summer. I heard the sun won’t set before 8 pm until August, isn’t that cool?
As we step into summer, I thought I’d share something fun for your reading list. Over the past few months, we've been diving into the world of giving, exploring generosity and philanthropy in depth. Remember that Seinfeld-themed quiz where you found out your giving persona? Good times! Now, let’s switch gears and talk about the evolution of language.
Why language? Well, it's a key part of what makes us humans, and I think the story of how language developed is fascinating and essential to understanding who we are. But I'm talking about more than just language in general. I want to focus on how words like "philanthropy" and "generosity" have changed over time and how their meanings shape us today.
So, for your summer reading over the next few weeks, I'll be focusing on how our modern take on "philanthropy" and "generosity" helps build a sense of community and shared responsibility.
