If I had to sum up this month in one word, it would be uncertain. So much happened that I wasn’t prepared for, things I didn’t see coming at all. It’s been a true rollercoaster, with plenty of highs, plenty of lows, and a whole lot in between. This month, I really felt what it means to not know what tomorrow will bring.
Now that February is over, part of me hopes things will settle back into place. But deep down, I have a feeling this was just the beginning—that more uncertainty lies ahead. Maybe February was just preparing me for what’s next. At least if things get more intense, the longer days and warmer weather will help, right? No, seriously… right??
So here’s a look back at my February (thank God it’s over!).
Picture of the month
If my daughter could wear this every day, she absolutely would. Last Halloween, she wore this Wonder Woman costume, and she still insists on wearing it all the time. Every now and then, I let her. She’s worn it at daycare a few times and even on a recent trip to the library. The funniest part is that she calls it her Superman costume. 😆
Song of the Month
Mary Jane (All Night Long) by Mary J. Blige
One night, I was singing a song in my head and told myself I’d remember it in the morning—but, of course, I completely forgot. For three weeks, I racked my brain trying to recall it, and then, out of nowhere, it finally came back to me late one night! This time, I didn’t take any chances—I woke up and wrote it down. Sure, I couldn’t fall back asleep afterward, but it was totally worth it
